Fast bowler Mohammad Aamir is not part of the Pakistan Cricket Board’s central contract, but PCB officials can use the option of disciplinary action against Pacer for making controversial statements and criticising head coaches Misbah-ul-Haq and Waqar Younis. According to sources, Mohammad Aamir has signed a domestic agreement with the PCB to play a whiteball tournament in domestic cricket and according to this agreement, he cannot make statements against the PCB, the national team or the administration.
A senior PCB official also confirmed that the 28-year-old fast bowler was bound by the domestic agreement until February. Sources said that the PCB has given free hand to Mohammad Aamir so far as the cricket board wants to avoid any controversy by not taking action against him.
Respecting Mohammad Amir’s decision, the PCB has sent a message not to select him for the future series, but Fast Boiler has continued to be aggressive, saying it will take the case to a logical conclusion.
Mohammad Aamir said that his fight is not with Ehsan Mani and Wasim Khan, the current team management has to get rid of the ‘boss’ inside him, my body could not carry the burden of Test cricket but it was alleged that I play league cricket. I want, it was put in people’s minds that I just want to make money instead of representing the country. Mohammad Aamir further said that some former cricketers mocked him for match-fixing in 2010 even though he had admitted his guilt.
He said that Harris Rauf also came in the national team by performing in PSL and BBL. Players from all over the world perform in T20 leagues and back less. Mohammad Aamir said that he will always be grateful to former PCB chairman Najam Sethi and former national team captain Shahid Afridi, when there was talk of his return to the national team, his teammates refused to play with him. However, Najam Sethi and Shahid Afridi said that Aamir will definitely play.
